Bradley J. Luminais, Jr. was born in Metairie, Louisiana. He was awarded one of the most prestigious scholarships to Louisiana State University, a top 100 scholarship. He attended Louisiana State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2000 with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communication. While at LSU, he was also a member of the LSU Power Lifting Team, the Public Relations Student Society of America, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Golden Key National Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
After graduating with highest honors, Brad decided to further his education at LSU by enrolling in law school. Brad served as the Student Body Executive Vice-President of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and he was also elected Class Representative and Civilian Society Vice-President. Additionally, he was awarded the River Parish Claimants’ 1988 Refinery Explosion Memorial Scholarship, a LSU Board of Supervisor’s Scholarship, the CALI Award for the highest grades in Legal Writing, Environmental Law and International American Trade, and he was also named to Who’s Who Among American Law Students.
Brad joined the firm upon graduation in 2003 and became an immediate asset. Brad has focused his practice in the areas of admiralty and maritime, insurance defense, corporate casualty and personal injury defense. His knowledge, work ethic and proven litigation skills allowed him to be promoted to Senior Associate status in a short time of only three years. Finally, within five years of finishing law school, Brad became a Partner of the firm.
Brad has tried cases before judges and juries at both the state and federal level and is a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Deposition Skills Program. Additionally, he is admitted to practice in all Louisiana State Courts, as well as the Eastern, Middle and Western District Courts of Louisiana, and the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and Louisiana State Bar Association.
Brad and his wife, Brandy, are the proud parents of two boys, Brady and Beau. In his spare time, Brad enjoys weight lifting, softball and basketball. He is also an active member of the St. Catherine of Sienna Men’s Club. Finally, since 1996, Brad has been covering local high school football games in print and on radio, and he is currently a Friday Night Football reporter for WWL 870AM and a special contributor to pelicanpreps.com. |
